Social and Creative Venture Series
Description
This interactive workshop will focus on strengthening Charnwood by keeping money circulating within the community for longer. Participants will use participatory tools to explore the concept of community wealth and self-sufficiency, learning how money flows in and out of their local economy. The workshop will guide attendees through identifying “leaky” areas where money escapes the community and developing actionable projects to retain and reinvest wealth locally. Building local wealth not only supports economic resilience but also empowers communities to take control of their financial futures.
What You’ll Gain:
- Understanding of local economic flows and community wealth building
- Tools to identify and address economic “leaks”
- Strategies to encourage local spending and build resilient local economies
